Classification
ME-92NR Coating is a precision, USP Class VI, Tripartite/ISO and anti-microbial chromium coating. The coating improves the physical appearance of medical instruments and provides functional enhancements to instrument performance.
Process
The ME-92NR Coating technology is a proprietary, low-temperature (160° F) process that applies a precise chromium coating to the component’s surface without altering the integrity of the stainless steel.
Appearance
ME-92NR Coating provides a dark-gray,
matte finish that offers a long-lasting, non-reflective surface.
Adhesion
ME-92NR Coating is bonded directly to the stainless steel. This unique process enables the coating to adhere absolutely. ME-92NR Coating will not chip, flake or peel. The Coating is highly ductile and will not separate from the base material even when twisted, flexed or impacted.
Thickness
The deposit thickness of ME-92NR Coating is engineered to meet the specific requirements of the customer. Normal deposit thickness ranges from 0.00004” to 0.0005” per side (1,0- 12,0 microns). An ME-92 sales engineer will assist you in selecting the proper deposit thickness for your specific application.
Hardness
ME-92NR Coating exhibits a unique 80Rc surface hardness providing imparts a highly durable and scratch-resistant finish.
