What materials can be ME-92® coated?
Can the ME-92®
Coating be laser marked or chemical etched?
The ME-92® Coating provides an excellent surface for laser marking and the color contrast is excellent. It is not recommended for chemical etching.
What must be provided
to obtain a price for the ME-92® Coating?
Most importantly, we would need a blueprint or an actual component. We also need to know the type of stainless steel, the surfaces required to be coated or masked, desired deposit thickness, quantity per order, and estimated quantity per year.
Why would I
need to coat a disposable instrument?
A disposable instrument must perform as well
as a reusable instrument. Disposable instruments experience galling,
scoring, dulling of edges, and other problems similar to reusable
instruments. The ME-92® Coating eliminates these undesirable
occurrences.
What can I expect
as a normal delivery time?
We are dedicated and committed to meet customers
needs. A normal 5 to 7 working day processing cycle is met on all
orders. We do accommodate the urgent needs of our customers as well.
Can medical tools,
dies, molds, and mandrels be ME-92® coated?
Yes, these are excellent applications. The ME-92® Coating offers a very functional and long-lasting surface. The coating is very smooth, as well as a safe, bio-compatible surface.
What is the highest
temperature the ME-92® Coating can be exposed to?
Our research has taken the ME-92® Coating to 1,000° F, with no detrimental effects.
Can welded areas
of a component be ME-92® coated?
Yes, as long as the weld is machined and
blended. This is a very positive application to consider since the
weld area is very susceptible to corrosion during autoclave.
Can soldered
areas be ME-92® coated?
The ME-9 coating is not recommended on soldered
areas. Each application should be discussed with an applications
engineer.
What materials can be ME-92 coated?
Stainless steel, tool steel, copper, brass, bronze & aluminum. (Al-Coat)
