ME-92 Operations was the first coating company to perform and pass the Tripartite Guidelines testing and submit the results to medical clients. Since 1995, the new biocompatibility standard is ISO 10993-1. These testing methods are very similar to those methods used to establish Tripartite compatibility, with minor modifications in the way test results are scored.
